beautiful fall leaves.....
L is changing his diaper right before we leave and of course he pees all over, right as he is putting on the new diaper. luckily we had taken off his little sweat suit, but two new diapers and a new onesie.
oh the joy of boys.
It is so beautiful this time of year,
I love the Fall,
and I loved this much needed outing.

My Baby Boy is 2 Weeks Old

What? How does that happen, Where does the time go ......
Eat, Sleep, Poop, be Adorable, and good enough to eat.
 Colter loves his DADs nose
L says to me..."it really hurts when he latches on" he has no idea:)
Cade had meetings in Jersey so the three of them came out for a quick east coast trip. It was so fun seeing them. (last time we saw Matty, he was Colters size....crazy!!)
Brunch at Valley Green Inn
C had some newborn pictures taken at our house.... so Landon snapped a few with our camera, Im so excited to see how they all turned out. (many more to come) he did pretty good I had to feed him twice and we had a few accidents but the naked pictures are worth the mess!!
We seriously cant get enough of this little guy
-- at Colters 2 week check -up he weighed 7lbs 15oz
-- i cant believe how big he is getting and how much he changes.... everyday.
-- he still has his days and nights a little mixed up
-- he sleeps great in the mornings, in bed with me
-- C loves bath time
-- we probably go through 10-15 diapers a day
-- C loves to be snuggled and he doesnt like to be left alone
-- his umbilical cord and circumcision are totally healed and look great
(im so glad they take care of the circ at the hospital)
-- also im feeling lots better too, a big difference from week one to week two.
-- we are sure going to miss Nana!!
-- Im not sure how you get anything done
-- We are loving loving loving every bit of it!!!

WEEK ONE

Week One/10 days have been pretty good, exhausting but good. Colter has his days and nights a bit mixed up and he doesn't like to be left alone, and i don't really want to leave him alone especially if it makes him sad. {you cant spoil a newborn.... right?} he likes to just snack and then usually once or twice a day he will have a really good feeding. I am trying to get him on a little more regular schedule {for my sake as well, i feel like im going to explode} Baby boy is so sweet and smiley and just really good. He likes to sleep with his arms above his head and he isn't a huge fan of the swaddle. I cant imagine loving anything more than this little guy and watching L with him.....
Im so in love!!

First Bath/Wipe down (cord stump still on)
There is nothing better than a clean yummy smelling baby
Colter loves the water
(he was born to be a surfer and his dad is stoked on it)
he loves the water poring on his head

Fresh and Clean
5 days worth of diapers.... baby boy is full of it!!!
and L is a Diaper Pro!!

Baby Boy ....

He is Here...... and here is the short version of the very complicated delivery/miracle.

its the night before, making sure we have everything all ready... starting to get a little nervous. this is the real deal, this baby really has to come out of me, i've changed my mind i will just be pregnant forever!! i've loved being pregnant, it has been an amazing experience!!!
8:00 a.m. here we are, ready to get things started
- 39 weeks and 4 days
10:30 ish feeling the contractions, ready for the epidural.
- pitocin is in and flowing
- water is broken
- came in dilated to a 3 and 85% effaced
- things are looking good
- Doc thinks i'm going to progress fast
12:00 noon epidural is in
- feeling really good
- contractions are 2-3 minutes apart

noon till about 8:00 p.m.
- baby boy doesn't like pitocin
- heart rate drops with the contractions so they take me off
- they do an infusion (pretty much put the fluid back in me) to float the cord
- put an internal monitor on the baby's head (more accurate)
- dilate to a 7 and 95% effaced
- still having contractions 1-3 minutes apart (on my own)

about 8:30
 Things head SOUTH
- Doc keeps mentioning the cord
- nurses and doc are in almost every time i have a contraction
- because they don't like what they see on the monitors
- baby boys heart rate is way too low and having a hard time recovering between contractions
- I get a fever of a 101 so they give me penicillin
- I have extremely bad heart burn so they give me pepcid and motrin to help the fever
- Anti Acid + NSAID(motrin) = a bad Allergic Reaction
- i'm on fire from head to toe
- i start throwing up
- i was one hot mess!!!
- baby boy cant handle any extra stress and his heart rate is way too dangerously low
9:45 ish
- the doc says emergency c-section
- Landon gives me a quick Priesthood Blessing (so grateful, he is amazing and i am so blessed to have him)
- and off i go
Colter James Cameron
 10:07 Baby Boy is born
- 7 lbs 3 oz 20 inches
- the anesthesiologist gave me a bolus (booster)
and when they laid me down it went "spotty" so i was totally numb pretty much from my neck down   it was the weirdest sensation i have ever felt, tingling/burning all over (partly because of the allergic reaction)
- and supper puffy from all the fluids (the one thing that i really didn't want to happen)
but so extremely happy and relieved that Baby Boy was okay and perfectly healthy and absolutely perfect in every way and beautiful. that little cry was the greatest thing i have ever heard in my entire life. (it was more of a little squeak but still i loved it)
Can i tell you how grateful i am for modern medicine and an amazing Doctor and team. The cord was wrapped around Colters neck like a hangman's noose and the doctor said there was no possible way that he would have ever made it if we tried to deliver any other way. the cord was holding him up and that's why i didn't progress past a 7 because there wasn't enough pressure. the poor thing was getting strangled every time i would have a contraction. so all the mayhem that happened all at once, really was a blessing in disguise. now we are blessed with the most incredible baby boy... absolute perfection!!!
Love at first sight
 Colters first Bath
 3 days old
very proud daddy
and Colter is one lucky little guy to have him

Nana cant get enough of this sweet baby boy..... i cant blame her!! we are so extremely grateful to have her here for all of this, i don't know what i would do without her. thanks mom you are amazing!
