August

Finally getting settled.....

Slowly but surely we are getting our house put together and we are getting out and about in this little town. We spend most of our time playing outside, eating pop pops, or at the pool, anything to keep cool. We even got to see dad a little more...we go through major daddy withdrawals when he is gone so much. Colter and Landon are best buddies, Colter gets so excited every day when he comes home. "dada home dada home"
 snuggles with baby sis

35 weeks....... ready or not.
Colter gave us a little scare, he slipped and fell on the tile floor and Rung His Bell literally, he knocked himself out cold, eyes rolled back, went stiff, started seizing, scariest few minutes of my life but he was okay, they say that it is a normal neurological response in young kids to do that.
(good to know, but please Colter never do that again)
We Bink finally went bye bye.
I think it was harder for us then it was for him. He asked for it for a few days and then he was over it.
 Breakfast and Bedtime
This boy loves his morning cereal, he asks for it the minute he wakes up.
He loves bedtime stories with dad the best. I love how he is starting to read along, he says all the sounds of the animals and points different things out.
Colter has been the sweetest little boy, he is truly a joy to be around. He entertains me all day long. He takes great naps and goes right down for bed (even in his big boy bed) eating is hit or miss, he always eats a great breakfast and after that we are happy if he will eat anything besides pop pops. He is bright eyed, with long flowing curls, he has the cutest little voice and is starting to say more words each day. I could just eat him up.

July

Some how we survived JULY... now looking back I laugh, but at the time I wanted to cry just about every single day in July.
MOVING: We closed on our house June 29th. We were hoping that all of our stuff from Philly would arrive that weekend too.... we were sorely mistaken. They told us that it would come the first of the week, we thought no big deal we can camp out for a few days. We have the nicest friends out here that we borrowed air mattresses, a pack n play, sheets, blankets, towels, and a few kitchen things to "get us by" Well a long two and a half weeks later...we finally got our things {some came in a million pieces}Biggest moving nightmare ever!! {oh and moving 7 months pregnant is an awesome idea}

ON CALL: Landon was on call the entire month of July.... for the 4th, for my birthday. Long days, Long nights. No better way to get use to Residency Life. Oh and when we moved here we only had ONE car because we only needed one in Philly.... and it took awhile to get another one, so pretty much all of July Colter and I were car-less.

First day in our NEW house.
The Fishes let Colter borrow a tub of toys that saved our lives!!! And a Booster seat. An empty house, and no car, in July in Texas....with a 21 month old..... AWESOME.

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!
 HAPPY 29th BIRTHDAY
I have the sweetest friends... Leah baked me a cake, came over and picked us up so I could have someone to spend the day with and watched Colter so Landon and I could go out to dinner.

THIS IS WHAT 80% OF WHAT OUR STUFF LOOKED LIKE WHEN IT FINALLY ARRIVED.
It was an exhausting month for ALL.
Nana came to save us!! (she had to switch her flight because she wanted to come help us unpack and get settled. although it would have been fun to have someone to sit on the floor with in an empty house.... her help was much needed!!) Colter LOVES his Nana. It was a sad day for everyone when she had to go back home.
We went to the Pool every chance we got, and it was super exciting when DAD got to join us!!!
 32 weeks.....and counting.

waiting with friends and snacks for daddy to get home
His First SUCKER.... he was sticky and blue all over (my worst nightmare) but he loved it.

June Adventures

This is the LAST time on ACADEMY LANE.
Colter and I flew to Utah (for the month) and Landon and his brother Taylor drove our car to Texas. Landon spent a week finding us a house and trying to finalize everything. He was able to come to Utah for a week and a half for a little vacation time before starting Residency.

Lake Powell
{heaven on earth}
27 weeks pregnant and still surfing....I go any any chance I get...nothing will stop me!!
This little boy loved the lake, the water, the boat, the sand....
pretty much everything about Lake Powell
The boys caught fish after fish after fish
We found the most perfect beach up Navaho Canyon. And for a few days we had this place to ourselves. A big sandy hill, hiking, little canyons, perfect paddle boarding, just beautiful, it was amazing.
Landon did a fantastic job pulling the boat out of the slip, parking it at our spot and driving it back to the slip (he never ceases to amaze me) It was his first time, but he managed like a pro!!
Cheers to a wonderful time at Lake Powell
 (thanks lars and kells)
see you again soon, hopefully next year!!

 Summer Fun
POOL ..... Pop Pops ..... fun in the sun
Landon had to go back to Texas to start Residency... see you soon Daddy!!

Trying to take a family picture....
since we aren't ALL together very often.
most of them looked like this.....

 Parke and Colter
Bye Bye Utah...... Texas here we come!!
