We Spent an afternoon walking around Down Town Philly..... it was so stinking hot and really humid but very entertaining. So here is a little history background.......
Landon is standing in the room that the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776 and also the Constitution was signed a few years later.....unbelievable
This was once the home of the Liberty Bell, which rang in; celebration, news of any kind really, of wars, deaths, birthdays, and public meetings, gathering of people, for church and school, and the very famous ringing of the Liberty Bell from the tower of Independence Hall summoning the citizens of Philadelphia to hear the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 8th 1776.
Now the Liberty Bell is inside on display, its crazy that you can be inches from it!!!
It was said, that the Bell got its infamous crack in 1835 honoring George Washington's Birthday
This is Elfreth's Alley, the oldest residential street in america built in 1702 .... and people still live here. It is the cutest little street I have ever seen and I would love to live here, it reminds me of Italy.
