..easter..

We had a lovely Easter weekend, beautiful weather, good food, spent with great friends.
Saturday we got together with a big group of friends for a yummy breakfast followed by a classic Easter egg hunt. I love watching the kids eyes light up with pure excitement as they frantically run around filling their Easter baskets. I cant wait to see Colter like that, maybe next year!! Dyeing Easter eggs might be one of my most favorite traditions, I'm not sure why but I LOVE it!!! I love all the bright colors, and lets be honest I love deviled eggs!!  Landon never ceases to amaze me he filled our basket with all my favorite chocolates, {love seasonal candy} taught the most amazing lesson in church to our youth, and then to top if off made the most delicious dinner
 {roast, potatoes, veggies, salads, rolls, and even mini cream cheese lemon pies} It really was perfect.
I love Easter, all of the traditions, the time of year, the smell of the blossoms, and the colors. I am so grateful for my family, all of them. I am especially grateful for Landon for his amazing example and for our sweet baby boy Colter, what a joy he is in our lives. And most of all I am grateful for my Savior, without Him non of this would be possible, and through Him everything is possible.

S.I.X. M.O.N.T.H.S.

 They aren't kidding when they say "they grow up in a blink of an eye" I have loved every stage so far, but this one is really fun. Colters little personality is really starting to come out.
- He sure knows his momma and dad, our voices and faces {and we love it!!!}
- He laughs and pulls faces, happy and sad. hums, eeeee, blabs, lots of noises
- He doesn't like to be left alone in the room {makes it really fun trying to get anything done}
- He can SIT UP like a champ, and loves play with his toys.
- Toes, fingers, toys, everything goes into his mouth.
- Still teething... who knows when they will actually pop up, lots of drool.
- He is getting pretty good at eating with a spoon {cereal, apples, sweet potatoes}
   but he really likes what ever we are eating, he loves strawberries and avocado.
- His hair is really starting to fill in, with a few hair cuts to even things out.
- He is still in size two diapers
- And moving onto 6-9 month clothes
- He sleeps pretty good at night. down around 8:30 wakes up once or twice
  {trying to cut the twice} and then wakes at 8-8:30 sometimes even 9.
- Happiest boy first thing in the morning. Always greets you with a huge smile.
- He doesn't spit up AS much, just a little.
- He still has very sensitive skin. {rx cream in the morning eucerin cream at night}
 Colter is the light of our lives. He makes me so HAPPY every single day, even when he is a little stinker and wont let me put him down. I've thrown all expectations of getting anything done during the day out the window....I'm just savoring every minute I have with this sweet baby boy.
The best six months ever!!
{there were so many good pictures it was hard to choose just a few}

 this smile melts my heart
