We were able to enjoy the Christmas display at the gardens as well as some of the amazing indoor gardens. Here are just a few of the pictures and our kick off to the Christmas season.

Early December Festivities . . .
About 45 minutes away from our house is a magical place called Longwood Gardens. It was the family homestead of the Peirce family (one of Amee's direct ancestors) until they sold it to Pierre Du Pont in 1905. Pierre Du Pont founded the Du Pont company and bought this beautiful piece of land for his weekend getaways. He transformed it into an amazing garden featuring his beloved italian water fountain that he spent 10 years researching before building. Pierre died in the 1950's and his family turned the gardens into a place where the public could come and enjoy what he created.
