39 Weeks

{im a bit behind... and a little preoccupied}

{since this is way past due, a bit out of my little book} 

- our crib finally came yea!!!

- getting last minute things done

- NO, the nursery isnt all put together but baby boy wont know... right?

- Just waiting... patiently... it could happen at any moment

- Landon has been absolutely amazing, supportive, loving, my everything and more. I cant wait to make him a father and see him with this Baby Boy. It makes me a little teary just thinking about it I am the luckiest girl in the world.... now come on BABY!!!

POP

I seriously feel like Im going to POP and not just my belly button (the black really accentuates it)... all of me!! My mom and sister think that the belly doesnt look very big when i take pictures in dark clothes so for them, here is one in white and one in black 

(hello black is always more slimming)

 38 Weeks

Baby Boy is officially taking up every inch he can

all the way from my xiphoid process (ribs) down as far down as he can go (before he comes out)

he is hitting all sorts of nerves.... femoral, sciatic, whatever nerve goes across my ribs.

when i contract i feel like im hanging my head upside down... blood rush

and i can only wear a bra, of any kind for a few hours.... killer!!

at my last appointment they threw out the possibility of inducing me at 39 weeks

if (ive progressed enough on my own)(im not getting my hopes up) 

but other than that im feeling pretty good

(oh and then there is the heartburn)

we just need to get through 2 more finals.

and it would be nice if our crib would come (they say this week) keep your fingers crossed.

gosh it sounds like im full of complaints... but really it has been an amazing experience all in all. we feel extremely blessed and we are definitely ready for this little guy to 

"change our lives forever" 

we couldn't be more excited!! 

we even went on the hospital tour and pre- registered

we are ready to Rock n' Roll. 

Ready or not.......

He is Coming......

- L said he cant come for at least 2 more weeks (not good timing with school)
- My cervix is "short and soft and thinning nicely" -doc
{whatever that means.... they also said i'll probably progress fast}
but im not getting my hopes up!!.... for anything Fast.
- I'm not sure my body can make it much longer
- But we still need to get some things done so 2 weeks would probably be good
(like our crib still hasn't come. i'm starting to freak out a bit)
- But we are sure ready to love on this Little Boy!!

36 WEEKS {oops almost 37}

- wow 9 months
- {maybe i should wear make-up when i take these pictures}
- feeling pretty good.... just really tired
- I'm trying my best to stay positive and not complain (not the easiest thing, but i try)
- having a hard time sleeping (between trying to get comfortable and pee breaks)
- wearing a bra of any kind is so uncomfortable!!
- still not much of an appetite... nothing ever sounds good (its so weird)
- baby boy gets the hiccups ALL the time
- How can you LOVE someone you've never even seen SO much 
- baby boy has "dropped" but still feels high
- I guess there just isnt much room in there
- still lots of contractions..... still getting more painful
- still no name.... seriously I had no idea it would be so hard
- and no crib... its crunch time (they told me it would be here weeks ago ahh!)
- Cant wait for Baby Boy to come and see his little face and love on him all over
.... im so excited/nervous/anxious/just really excited!!!

Thirty Four...and now Thirty Five

{34 Weeks}

- these past few weeks have flown by

- my doc said after 36 weeks im good to go (what thats 1 more week)

- im not sure im ready for this pregnancy to be over

- i have really loved being pregnant

- leaking a little fluid {but everything is fine}

- had another ultra sound this week everything looks good

  (he looks just like Landon)

- Baby Boy keeps hitting my femoral nerve on my right side

- lots of numbness, tingling and shooting pain

- feet retaining some water and a little bit up my legs...stop please

- really tired

- not much of an appetite

- bouts of nausea are back

- at least 20 braxton hicks contraction a day (getting more painful)

- Baby Boy moves a ton we love watching & feeling him

 (im going to miss that)

- still no name 

- feeling a little more prepared 

- getting really excited/anxious

Time Flys

I don't know where the last two weeks went..... 

My mom came out for a week {and a week just isnt long enough} we had a wonderful time. Sewing, shopping, eating, met L for lunch at Reading Terminal, more shopping, Baby Shower, more eating, Dr. apt. {and my mom got to be there for an ultra sound}. I just love seeing our little boy {he looks just like L} more sewing {we made the baby bedding and blankets} 

and we survived our first Hurricane.... 

and through all of it, we forgot to take pictures {hate that}

And now its September First...

Seriously where does the time go?

Oh BOY..... another BABY shower

what more could you ask for

I have the greatest friends out here THANK YOU for all your hard work and time putting this together and thanks to everyone who came to be a part of it

PROJECTS

my house looked like we had been ran-sacked... 

but it was so worth the mess!!

 my mom never ceases to amaze me

she can make anything happen and come together just beautifully

we always have the best of times together

she pulled lots of late nights and i tried really hard to

{this baby just wipes me out}

we accomplished lots but for real where does the time go?

Im ready for her to come back!!!

This is the Three Day Key Lime Blackberry Pie

seriously it took 3 days and 45 steps and we didn't even do the meringue on top but it sure was good. L really wanted to make it so with joint efforts the three of us pulled it off.

I'm so sad that we didn't take more pictures {someday i will learn, because i'm always saying that} but we had  a wonderful time together and got LOTS done. I'm starting to feel a little more ready for this baby to come. five more weeks to go.... no but really, where has the time gone?

32 WEEKS

- he is getting big (or i am getting big)

- we love to watch him roll, kick and squirm.

- i've been feeling pretty good.... just really tired!!

- and really hot!!

- my ankles are starting to swell.... hate that!! 

(i guess i'm grateful for my bony little ankles 

  because with this much swelling it could be a lot worse)

- had an ultra sound, and everything looks great!

- 50% across the board.

- his head is down (great) 

- that means his knees and feet are in my ribs... constantly!!

- we are starting to get things ready... 

- we now have a car seat, stroller and a crib.

(we still have lots and lots to do/get)

- we are super excited!!!

A Little Trip to Linvilla Orchards

There is nothing better then...

a fresh juicy peach picked right off the tree.
Or a bright red plump tomato right off the vine.
Or an evening spent with Landon.
Or a big round belly...
Oh the little things in life that bring me so much joy!!

L Passed his Boards!!

so we went out for a night on the town.

30 weeks

I'm feeling pretty good besides the constant intense heart burn {i swear at times i can breath fire} the chronic back ache {which will probably never go away} and being insanely tired all the time {im back to my daily nap}. 

I really do feel so blessed to have had a fairly easy pregnancy thus far, lets just cross our fingers that it continues this way and ... i have a super easy, pain free, delightful delivery and throw in speedy recovery!!

These were taken at 28 weeks by the very talented Aynn Thurman.  I am so glad that I had these done, I debated {because i was only 28 weeks} but I was in Utah and I thought there is no better time then now to have belly pictures taken {photography in Philly just isnt the same} I LOVE how they all turned out. Baby Showers ....

it worked out perfectly to have a baby shower while i was in sg (even though i hate being center of attention and i dont really love showers) im so glad that i had one. it was so good to see everyone especially because i rarely get to see all these girls. and of course my mom and sister outdid themselves once again... it was perfect, cute, intimate, and the food was amazing!!! I couldn't have asked for more!!

 i love how baby boys first quilt turned out... you are the best mom!!!

oh and it was on my Birthday....

so here is to 27

and after a very busy week we some how managed to squeeze a shower in slc 

{once again after all was said and done i was very glad i did!! it all worked out perfectly} 

I was in slc less than 24 hours, really about 12 and then i flew home the next morning to be home for Landons Boards.

em and i are only 2 weeks apart ... so fun!!

Thanks to everyone for making this all happen. for all the hard work putting these showers together and for everyone who came to be a part of it all. i loved seeing each one of you!!

I love even more that Landons Boards are over {yeah, im so proud of you L} and now we can get down to baby business!!

 4th of July Fireworks

 we had an amazing after show. now that the big sky high fireworks aren't illegal anymore we went a little crazy... I never knew it could be so fun. I love the 4th of July it has always been one of my favorite holidays and {happy birthday cade}

I love the smell and sparklers and the giant bowl of caramel pop corn the colors the food and the feeling of freedom in the air ... i love it all. I was so glad that Landon could come even if it was just a very short weekend trip!!
